March 16, 2015 - Alaskan Cruise - Ketchikan

After cruising all night, we pulled into Ketchikan in the morning.  Ketchikan is at the bottom of the Alaskan panhandle and is south of Juneau.

While the Crown Princess docked, I checked out all those Beaver seaplanes at center.

Our ride securely docked.

All the passengers milling about smartly on the dock.

We had about four hours to explore the town.  It really wasn't enough time to do anything substantial.  I was less than overwhelmed with our Ketchikan experience.

Downtown Ketchikan.

A memorial with statues of famous Alaskan vocations.  Lynnette favors the Bush Pilot statue of course.

Alaskan totem pole.

We walked around town, went to a musuem, no big shakes.

Looking down Creek Street, immediately outside of Ketchikan's downtown near the mouth of Ketchikan Creek. Creek Street.  It used to be a red-light district but is now a tourist trap.

We stopped in Fat Stan's lounge in honor of Dave aka Stan.

PLiving it up at Fat Stans.

A Beaver on floats take off.
